IRS pushes back filing date

Important update from the IRS: e-file will now open on January 30th (not January 22nd).

Here's the deal:

1. The IRS will begin processing individual income tax returns on Jan. 30 for the vast majority of taxpayers.
2. People claiming residential energy credits, depreciation of property or general business credits will not be able to file until late February or into March.
3. You can absolutely still start your taxes in any tax preparation business (H&R Block, Jackson Hewitt, etc) or with their online offices (if available)/other tax preparing websites/programs -- but they will not be processed by the IRS until Jan. 30th.

You're very welcome!
My mom is a tax preparer so I'm pretty up-to-date on the tax news, lol
