As the saying goes, “all the world’s a stage,” and since New York is the home of the Great White Way, you better believe that includes Laguardia Airport. When Sunday night’s storm delayed dozens of flights, the Broadway casts of The Lion King and Aladdin were among those stranded for hours. What better way to pass the time (and brighten the mood) than invoke an acapella sing-off worthy of Pitch Perfect proportions?

Passengers lucky enough to be stranded along with the casts were treated to a rousing performance of both shows’ opening numbers—Circle of Life and Arabian Nights, respectively—although the highlight of the almost eight-minute video might be Tony winner James Monroe Iglehart’s freestyle rapping (“I don’t understand how y’all be coming at me after we have to go after the Circle of Life!”) This isn’t the first time the Lion King cast has treated bystanders to an impromptu concert: last August, they surprised New York subway riders by staging a flash mob where they performed another spirited rendition of Circle of Life.

It’s okay to admit that this is probably the only time you wish your flight was delayed, because you’re definitely not alone.

Pirate Bay shut down after police raid in Sweden

The Pirate Bay, one of the most notorious file-sharing sites on the Web, has been shut down after police raided a data center in Stockholm, Sweden.

In a statement to Reuters, police said a copyright infringement complaint prompted the raid. Anti-piracy group the Rights Alliance confirmed on Tuesday that they were the ones who made the criminal complaint.

“Pirate Bay is an illegal commercial service that makes considerable earnings by infringing the works of others,” Alliance’s Sara Lindbäck said in a statement on its website. “The infringements affect all creators and it also hinders the growth of the legal services.”

According to CNN, it was the 88th most popular site in the world, with 40 million users at the time it was shut down. It has been a popular destination for sharing pirated movies, most recently including the victims of Sony’s hacking attack. According to reports, both Fury and Annie were among the site’s Top 100 downloaded films before it was shut down.

After a long labor and emergency C-section, baby and mom were in trouble. While Alice, struggling to breathe, was rushed to the NICU, Kathryn fought for her life. A uterine hemorrhage necessitated replacing over 2 liters of blood. Intubation was required to restore her own breathing. Kathryn then went into septic shock and complete organ failure: her heart, lungs, kidneys, and liver stopped functioning while clotting threatened her limbs. The odds were stacked heavily against her.

But while Kathryn remained unconscious, the ICU doctors worked desperately to save her. Why all of this happened remains a mystery. Some factors suspected are a rare blood disease called HUS that can be triggered by pregnancy and surgery. Another possibility: amniotic fluid embolism, which is almost always fatal to the mother. Most doctors go their whole careers without encountering one.

While there was tremendous fear, there was also incredible strength. Friends and family provided physical, emotional and financial support. The sleepless new dad, Gabriel, ran back and forth between the NICU and ICU, making crucial decisions and providing boundless love.
