I nearly died laughing while watching this video, especially the first few minutes! It's a brother and sister who just had their wisdom teeth removed and are on their way home...
Actually I didn't like this, I found it really uncomfortable, why on earth would he have been released when he is so obviously high as a kite! If it was my child I'd be really worried he's so out of it.
It's a side effect of the anesthesia; everyone reacts differently. Having your wisdom teeth is an out-patient surgery so as long as he/she wakes up and has no adverse reactions to the anesthesia, there's no reason to not release them under the supervision of a parent/guardian.
When I had mine removed, I had to go to an orthodontic surgeon (rather than a dentist) because two of mine were sideways. Anyway, I remember counting backwards while going under, then them waking me up to see how I reacted, and then leaving with my brother...I remember nothing about the next 2 days. My brother, on the other hand, was acting so funny! He was seeing things and saying the funniest thing!
The boy and sister in the video were fine...they just reacted differently to the medicine. Plus, they send you home with some great pain meds!
