Mini-rant

You know what drives me crazy?  Women who are small (size 4/6) and constantly complain that they are fat/over-weight/jiggly in the wrong places.  You don't have any fat on your body, except your breasts, which you apparently love.  STFU.

That really annoys me too!!

Just goes to prove that no matter your size everyone can have body issues.

I completely understand that. But is it really necessary to say it all the time, to whoever is around? And I'm talking of specifically one person right now...she knows she's not fat, that she looks fantastic, but says it anyway just so that the people around her will say. I've known her pretty much my entire life...as far as I know, she doesn't have body issues; it's more the fact that she likes to rub it into people's faces.

Then karma will bite her and she'll get a fat ass. :)

LOL I don't even care about that. I just wish she would stop.

LOL, I had a friend who was a size 1 and was pissed that she wasn't a size 0. I was like "you're kidding, right??" Myself, I'm mostly a size 6 but I've always been petite. I sometimes say "I wish I could do something about this belly", but that's usually when I'm PMSing and I'm retaining water anyway. And I mainly say it to myself, I don't bug anyone else about it. I think we all have that "I feel fat" feeling around that time, lol

Granted, I'm not the biggest person, but I'm also not the smallest. I try (and could actually try much harder), and the smallest I've been and will ever be is an 8, but that's due to genes and stuff I can't change (as my SIL's obstetrician said, I have perfect birthing hips).

I think we all wish we could change things about our body, and that's fine...that's more to do with our society's portrayal (objectification) of women...but that's a whole different issue for a different day, lol

It's especially bad in the younger generation, and I find that really sad.

So... you're not too taken with those pro-Ana folks?

I have no idea what that is.

It's one of only about a handful of things that I honestly can't understand, the others being furries and bug-chasers.

I think anorexia/bulimia are serious conditions that needs medical attention. It's nothing to joke about. But I think there's a bit different between having anorexia/bulimia and thinking you need to loose weight to just gain the attention/favor of those around you.

As for furries, I never understood that. Too weird for me! And before now, I had never heard of bug chasing...that's beyond words. No clue why anyone would want to put themselves in that position.

They are serious conditions, which need help, but these pro-Ana folks actively promote these illnesses and it's sick.

My point. Three folks I'll never get.

Oh, I completely forgot about the pro-Ana people. Yeah, they need help themselves.
