I gotta admit I'm an Mpreg junkie, I really do love it, but I also prefer it to be Jensen if its J2 or Dean if it's Sam/Dean, I don't know why couldn't tell ya. But the results you got so far are interesting xx

I guess I don't know the difference between lurking and openly reading. I leave comments when I'm really moved by something, or remember to leave one. I have almost all of the communities on my flist so I guess I'm not that much of a lurker.

i read and write both j2 and s/d mpregs and as ya know i always and always prefer sam or jared to be the pregnant one. i just think he's too adorable for that....lol
and well....i'm completely hooked to jared/chris pairing too as long as its bottom!jay :D

I'll read Sam/Dean or Jensen/Jared, it doesn't matter who is pregnant. I don't always comment on them. I don't know if that wold be considered lurking.

Lurking would be reading and never commenting. For myself, depending on how busy I am, that will determine if I leave a comment or now. I don't consider myself a 100% lurker, but I do, do it sometimes.

I LOVE Sam or Jared mpreg. I just can't see Dean or Jensen [regnant. Although, I have read a few good ones. I will always vote for pregnant Sam/Jared. I kinda wish I was bold enough to write it, but I'm not so I will have to settle with reading and commenting. lol

I actually like both J2 and Sam/Dean and I don't have any real preference for the pregnant one when i'm reading fanfic. When I'm writing though I find it more easy to write Sam/Dean with pregnant!Sam but I'm not quite sure why.

I love reading both pairings, but I do find it easier for me to read if Jared/Sam is preg. I just can't picture Jensen/Dean preg at all.

I read J2 and SPN, I would rather read about Sam/Jared knocked up, but if the writing is good I'll give anything a chance, and I don't usually comment unless there is some compelling reason to do it. Either I think a new or nervous author isn't getting enough support, or someone has asked a specific question generally.

I'm partial to Jensen being pregnant in J². I'm also partial to Dean being pregnant, but I like the Dean/other (inc. OMCs), and Dean/Castiel pairings more. I haven't quite managed to get into Wincest, yet.

Dunno how I missed this when you posted it. Although I do read J2 Mpreg, I have to know the author. I do read SPN Mpreg and love it when Dean is pregnant. And there's only 2 fandoms I will read it in - SPN and SG/SGA.

i love mpreg. there are good and bad stories but i try to read all of them. when i really like it or i see that the writer doesn't get much feedback i leave a comment.

i prefer Dean/Jensen to be pregnant. dunno why... lol.

as for J2 or wincest - i think if the story is good written then even a J2 mpreg can be very realistic. can't choose between them.

I put both... just becuase some I find tooo schmoopy, I like a little angst and I'm not a big "I love you" person in every chapter. I like my boys a little more actions speak louder than words type.

So I lurk, quietly checking it out, until I find one I love then I am shameless.

I'm really very iffy about the mpregs I read. Its easier with Sam/Dean to pull it off, because it could be the result of a curse gone wrong or some other supernatural phenomenon. With Jared/Jensen its a lot harder to pull it off realistically. If it isn't realistic, I can't get into it.

So, while I perfer Sam/Dean mpreg, my favorite mpreg would be The Seahorse, which is actually a J2 fic, but it manages to pull of male pregnancy realistically. Its not, "oh, by some freaky twist of nature in this universe, guys can get pregnant. Shhh, just pretend". Its, Jared pisses off a fertility God and gets cursed. Hey, it could happen.

Really, it depends more on the story itself, not so much the pairing.

Likewise, it depends on the characters are written, not the characters themselves. Pregnant!Dean is great for a bunch of laughs because what isn't funnier than emotionally-repressed Dean being a hormonal, twelve-year-old girl about everything and crying his way through all nine months. But, it all depends on how Dean and Sam (or Jared and Jensen, for that matter) are being written.

Sorry that it took me a while to respond...my inbox is being flooded with comments/messages from over 3 months ago! I guess LJ is deciding to fix all the little things that make us go crazy.

I think you summed it up well; I'm pretty much the same way. If a story or characters are badly written, I'll stop reading. I have to really get into a story to really enjoy it, so what's the point of sitting there, reading through a story that doesn't keep your interest or is so way off base that you can't even wrap your head around the idea?

Mpregs are a bit iffy, though, because we all know that's not gonna happen. It is more believeable when it's Sam/Dean, because, like you said, so many things could be the cause of it. Any RPS mpreg stories, since they obviously aren't realistic, are harder to get into. But it never fails...give me a good Jared mpreg story, and I'll sit there are read til the end.

I have to agree with you about The Seahorse...it's easily one of my favorite stories (and the sequel is pretty damn good, too).
