Why Black March? It's January.

Because March is the end of the first quarter in economic reports worldwide. So they'd see the 'normal' sales for Jan and Feb, but then see them drastically drop in March. The outcome of that first quarter predicts what profit each business should expect to make during the remaining three quarters.

This whole PIPA/SOPA thing is madness. Complete madness. And they already tried to shut down Megaupload. Where will it end?

They didn't try to shut down MU...they did (which still pisses me off). I don't think it'll end, unfortunately. I think this is the beginning of the end...of the internet.

Well, what I really meant to say was that they DID shut it down, but I thought I heard it went back up over at a different address. Last I heard, anyway... hope it's still up (and don't ask me for the addy because I have no idea what it is... wish I did).

I know what you mean. And believe it or not my husband actually supports it. We were almost arguing about it last night. I'm like "are you kidding???"

I did see that IP address that linked to MU possibly coming back up, but there's a lot more people saying that it's a spam link, hoping to use those people who click on that link to help possibly take down another site (like the group Anonymous did earlier in the week). I've left it alone, and I honestly don't think it's coming back up. They've got an legal injunction against them until, at least, all the legal matter is resolved (and if found guilty, it won't be back up at all).

WOW, really? I'm sorry it caused y'all to argue, but I don't see how anyone can really support it (other than Big Businesses in DC, the government, and the movie/music business). No one else benefits from it.

Wow, that sucks. :(

I honestly don't think he sees the entire picture. I tried talking to him about it, but he's only seeing it the way he wants to see. *sigh*

Sounds like a typical male!
