Hey y'all!  We're all good here.  We didn't get a tenth of what was expected from Isaac, so yay!  Thanks to everyone for their concerns/thoughts/prayers...they were much appreciated!

Also, I'm bummed because of all the hurricane preparations, I can't afford to renew my paid account right now.  How do y'all decide what icons to keep?  I hate to choose!

This is the weirdest hurricane/tropical storm ever. We were supposed to get hit yesterday afternoon, and then yesterday evening, and then last night, and then this morning, and then this afternoon, and now tonight (it does seem like we're getting a good chunk of it right now, though). WTF? This is the slowest freaking storm I have ever seen!  No one can really make any decisions about tomorrow because we don't know what the hell Isaac is gonna do.  GRRRRRR!

Don't know what in the hell is going on with Isaac.  It's been downgraded to a Tropical Storm, but the winds and rain are still bad. Curretnly, we still have power (hopefully, we'll keep it).  Other than that, we're good here!

Just popping in for a little update.  All hunkered down and as prepared as we're gonna be. The wind has been here since yesterday and is incredibly strong right now.  The rain should be here within the hour.  Tonight is gonna be rough with the worst of it early tomorrow afternoon.  I'll try to keep in touch as much as I can, but I have no idea if we'll have electricity come tomorrow.  I'll keep everyone affected by Isaac in my thoughts.  Be safe everyone!!

First off, I hate it when you hit backspace and LJ decides you want to go back a couple pages instead of deleting a couple letters you've typed.

Second attempt:

DAMNIT!!  I hate hurricane season.  This is why I don't look forward to my birthday each year.  September is, statistically, the busiest month in hurricane season (yes, I'm aware there are still a couple days left in August).  It's still a bad time of year, though.  And Wednesday makes the 7th anniversary of Katrina.  New Orleans still has completely recovered (personally, I don't think it ever will).

TS Isaac has turned toward LA and MS (predicted landfall: Wed. morning).  This morning, it was supposed to hit along the MS/AL line, but now it's the LA/MS line.  Granted, if it stays on it's predicted path, MS will get the worst of it, and we'll end up with a lot of rain and high winds. As long as we stay on the left side of it, we'll be okay.

I'll be keeping everyone in the projected path in my thoughts.  Stay safe!

EDIT:  Governor's Press Conference stated that if it turns more west and hits LA, TS Isaac will hit Tues evening/early Wed monring.  We are official under a state of emergency.   :(
